Greetings, friends of the session!

We’re looking forward to welcoming old pals and new this Sunday, with a Racer Session presented by tilt starting at 7pm!

tilt exists in the space between improvisation and song, elastic and flowing, their music emerges from a shared love of words and experimentation. This Brooklyn-based collective brings together the voices of Isabel Crespo Pardo, Kalia Vandever, Carmen Q Rothwell. The intimacy found in the ensemble is apparent through their evolving chemistry on stage and their symbiotic improvisational approach. tilt premiered at bop dubu in Red Hook, Brooklyn in July 2022, with performances ongoing in NYC. tilt is currently touring the West Coast in anticipation of their first album.

We’re so thankful that Carmen, longtime Racer community member and Seattle native, thought of us to host this special set, and we’re excited to welcome Kalia and Isabel to the session for the first time. This music is incredibly special and it will be a delight to hear it on the Racer stage.
