Ross Hammond Presents with Lori Goldston and Tim DuRoche this Sunday
This Sunday, we are pleased to welcome Sacramento-based guitarist Ross Hammond back to the Racer Sessions, along with dear friends Lori Goldston and Tim DuRoche.
Ross Hammond has played on large stages and in small corners throughout the United States and beyond. His sound is equal parts jazz, folk, blues, spirituals and world music.
Seattle-based Lori Goldston’s voice as a cellist, amplified or acoustic, is full, textured, committed and original. A relentless inquirer, she wanders recklessly across borders that separate genre, discipline, time and geography, performing in clubs, cafes, galleries, arenas, concert halls, sheds, ceremonies, barbecues, and stadiums.
Tim DuRoche is a Portland-based jazz drummer, cultural writer, radio host, and artist-civic ecologist. As a jazz drummer-composer, and sound artist, Tim has traversed the continuum from ragtime to no time and beyond – creating performances with Beijing Opera musicians, Russian circus clowns, silent film, spoken word, auctioneers, and with installation-performance artists.
Surely this trio is not to miss. Music starts at 8pm, jam session to follow until 10pm. See you at Racer!
